Bar and restaurant

The popular licensed bar and restaurant has featured in the Guide de Routard since 1996`;

The bar, is open from noon on Saturday and Sunday and from 5pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

The restaurant currently closed due to increased mobility problems Tricia is having (Multiple Sclerosis).  We will try to have bar snacks available when we are open and will continue to do buffets for groups if booked in advance.

The restaurant is open on Friday evening (last orders 9pm) and Saturday and Sunday lunchtime (12:00 - 14:00) and evening (19:00 - 21:00) if booked in advance .  Groups (10 - 30) people can be accommodated outside these hours by prior agreement - phone for details

We stay open until at least 10pm (often much later).  We are closed all day on Wednesday. AND exceptionally on Thursday 26 November.

We have a comfortable bar area, a small lounge area and a large function room which is also used as a bar during busy periods.

The menu has an international slant and uses a range of local produce to provide a choice of home cooked dishes including traditional (boeuf bourgignon, duck breast….), spicy (indian curries, chilli con carne….), international (lasagne, moussaka…).  There is always a vegetarian option and snacks (ham and chips, sausage and chips etc) for those with smaller appetites.  Puddings might include sticky toffee pudding, Mississippi mud pie, granny’s recipe lemon cheesecake, crême brûlée, a range of icecreams or a plate of cheeses.
